Chiropractic adjustments
Manipulations of the joints and/ or soft tissue of the body. Typically adjustments are done by hand but can also be done with an instrument. Adjustments can be done for someone who has pain or an injury to stimulate the body to heal appropriately. Chiropractic adjustments can also be done to maintain the body and keep it performing.
Functional Rehabilitation & PERSONAL TRAINING
Develop movement strategies and homework for you to work on while we go through treatment and beyond.
Soft Tissue Work
Is it a muscles or a bone issue? Guess what, they are all connected so we work on both through a combination of ART (Active Release Therapy), Trigger Point Therapy, Nerve Stripping, and Nerve Flossing.
Rapid Release Technology
Vibration therapy that oscillates at a rate that breaks up scar tissue. It also helps stimulate tissues to accelerate healing and recovery.
Rocktape
Kinesiology taping is a great tool for improving posture, fluid and lymphatic flow, sport performance, and guiding new movement patterns.
Myofascial decompression
MFD addresses connective tissue restrictions by improving the mobility of the soft tissue layers. The use of negative pressure with suction cups creates space between the soft tissue layers to slide on upon another with decreased viscosity and improved movement.
Flash Cupping
Flash cupping can be used to quicken trigger point release. When used with movement, it also helps reeducate the brain with parts of the body that have degenerated or deconditioned over time.
Customized Orthotics
We offer a complimentary digital scan to analyze the three arches of the foot. We can then order support orthotics based on your individual foot structure, type of footwear, and activity load. Email hello@ascentsportschiro.com to book.
EDucation
We all want our bodies to last us a lifetime. Unfortunately we do not come with a user manual on how our bodies operate. What’s more, is what works for one person may not work for another. At Ascent, we make sure to bring awareness to the processes of your body so that you can sense when things are starting to break down and how your day to day use of your body affects its longevity.
